A jammed-pack week of Heat action features men's soccer battling UNBC as they look to jump into Canada West playoff race

KELOWNA, B.C. - It's crossover season at UBCO as fall sports begin winding down their regular season play while winter sports kick their preseason prep into full gear. With 11 of the Heat's 12 teams competing this week, there's plenty of action to follow, highlighted by the men's soccer team battling UNBC at home on Saturday and Sunday, while softball aims for their fourth WCSA Championship in Calgary.

The men's squad returns to Nonis Field for back-to-back home games against the Timberwolves this weekend.. With their playoff window narrowing after a tough season, these games carry extra weight as the Heat look to build momentum for a late push for the postseason.

A strong showing at home could boost their record and provide a positive sendoff in front of the Kelowna crowd. While cracking the top four in the Pacific Division remains a challenge, these matches offer the Heat a chance to finish strong and carry momentum into their final four games of the regular season.

October 6th-7th - OUAZ Fall Invitational - Sterling Grove GCC - Surprise, Ariz

The UBCO Heat men's and women's golf teams are preparing for their final test in Arizona before heading to Chilliwack for the Canada West Championships in early October.

The team secured their second top-three finish of the 2025 season, placing second overall at 853 (-11), just three strokes behind Simon Fraser.

The week prior, the Heat earned a tie for third at the Bishop Invitational. Transfer Ryan Vest once again paced the team, carding an impressive 15 birdies across three rounds. This secured him a 207 (-9) finish and a spot on the All-Tournament Team.

The Heat finished just five strokes off the lead in the NCAA Division II event.
