The last meeting between the two programs came in November, when the Heat earned a 70-64 victory over the Cascades in Abbotsford.

Last weekend, the Heat split their matchups, defeating the Victoria Vikes 64-54 on Friday before battling hard in a narrow 63-60 loss to Trinity Western on Saturday. Having already secured their fifth straight postseason berth, the women will look to build momentum heading into the playoffs with a pair of wins to close out the regular season and push for a third-place finish.

Men's basketball wraps up their regular season this weekend as the Heat face off against the UFV Cascades. The Heat will also celebrate Black History Month on Friday before honouring graduating seniors Jalen Shirley and David Usuomon on Saturday.

The men have been rewriting the record books recently. Last weekend, Jalen Shirley broke his own single-season scoring record, finishing with 362 points on the year. He now sits just 41 points shy of UBCO's career scoring record and needs 11 more assists to set a new career record, both of which he'll be chasing this weekend in the final two games against UFV.

Anthony Brady also had a standout weekend, recording seven steals in Saturday's matchup against Trinity Western. That performance set a new single-game season record for the team, ranking as the most steals in a Canada West game this season, and tying him for 26th all-time in conference history.
