Julia Alexander-Carew was named the Canada West women's golf athlete of the week by the conference on Tuesday afternoon after finishing tied for second at the Grisham Memorial Shootout in DuPont, Wash., last week.
Alexander-Carew, a native of Oakville, Ont., takes home the recognition for the first time this season, and third time overall in her career. She is also the first Heat athlete to earn the honour in 2025-26.

Alexander-Carew continued her torrid run of play with the Heat as she earned her seventh Top 2 finish in her last eight events for UBCO dating back to her rookie season.
The third-year shot 1-over par over two rounds at the Grisham Memorial Shootout to finish tied for second and help lead the Heat to a third place finish at the 12-team NCAA Division II event. Thanks to her play, she was named to the All-Tournament Team.
