Box Score LANGLEY, B.C. - The travelling UBC Okanagan Heat men's soccer team fell to the Trinity Western Spartans, 2-1, after a physical match on Friday evening.
Strong pressure from Juan Pablo Rojas Uribe of Guadalajara, Mexico forced the Spartans to concede an own goal in the 10th minute, giving the Heat an early lead.
However, the advantage was shortly lived as the Spartans tied the match less than a minute later off the boot of Thomas Powell of Coquitlam, B.C.
Moving into the second half, despite the physicality and ambition from the Heat, the Spartans secured the win with a goal in the 74th minute tally from Soren Di Sabatino of Langley, B.C.

Jaxon Scholfield - UBCO
Jaxon Scholfield, the second-year goalkeeper from Delta, B.C., was a wall in net for the Heat, finishing the evening with eight saves.
Soren Di Sabatino- Trinity Western
The third-year midfielder was a dominant player for the Spartans on Friday evening. He picked up an assist on the hosts opening goal and scored the eventual winning goal for Trinity Western.
WHERE THEY SIT
After the loss on Friday evening, the Heat's record drops to 0-2-1, as they sit in fifth place in the Canada West West division. As for the Trinity Western Spartans, they improved to 2-0-1, good for second place in the West division.
