Box Score KELOWNA, B.C. - The first career goal for fourth-year midfielder Aidan Tuck helped the UBC Okanagan Heat men's soccer team rally to post a 1-1 tie against the Thompson Rivers Wolfpack on Sunday evening.
A few yellow cards came out for both rival teams, although there would be no goals until the second half of the game.
Coming out of the halftime break, the scoring was opened up by TRU's James Fraser of Penticton, B.C., in the 47th minute of play.
Tuck, assisted by Malachi Emerson of Surrey, B.C., provided the response the Heat was looking for to tie up the game in the 62nd minute. This was the Russell, Ont., product's first career Canada West goal in a Heat uniform.
With the result, the Heat trail Thompson Rivers 0-1-1 in the President's Cup standings. It also leaves the Heat with an 0-1-3 mark on the season.
UBCO will have a bye week this week but will be back on Friday, October 1st at UNBC. Kickoff is at 12 p.m. and the game can be seen live on CanadaWest TV present by Co-op.
