Box Score PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. - A trio of first-half goals by the UNBC Timberwolves proved to be the undoing of the UBC Okanagan Heat men's soccer team on Saturday afternoon as they fell 4-1 at Masich Place.
After a 1-0 Heat win Friday night, UNBC came out strong in the rematch, scoring three goals in the game's first 30 minutes.
The hosts would add another early in the second half before the Heat were able to find the back of the net.
The lone goal for UBCO came off the foot of Jacob York in the 57th minute. York, who hails from Victoria, scored his first goal of the season and third of his career in the loss.
Nicholas Reitsma of Kelowna, B.C., would make four stops in the loss for the Heat while Daniel Zadravec, UNBC's keeper and a native of Victoria, secured two saves in the winning effort.
The weekend split rounds the Heat's record to 1-2-4 as UNBC's first win of the year pushes the squad to 1-4-3. The two teams sit tied for 5th in the Canada West West division standings, three points behind the UBC Thunderbirds and Victoria Vikes, who are tied for third.
The road trip continues for the Heat as they head to Vancouver next weekend to take on the aforementioned Thunderbirds on October 8th and 9th.
