Heat women’s soccer games relocated to lower mainland

Due to the ongoing wildfires in the Okanagan, UBCO will now host Victoria and Mount Royal at Ken Woods Field on UBC’s Vancouver campus

KELOWNA, B.C. – Due to the unpredictable and rapidly evolving situation as a result of the wildfires in the Okanagan, this weekend's UBC Okanagan Heat women's soccer games have been rescheduled to the lower mainland as announced by the Canada West conference on Tuesday.
 
The Heat, who were set to host their first two games of the regular season on Friday, August 25 and Saturday, August 26 at Nonis Sports Field, will now host the Victoria Vikes and the Mount Royal Cougars at Ken Woods Field on the UBC's Vancouver campus.
 
Friday night's game against Victoria will kick off at 5 p.m. while Saturday's game against Mount Royal will be contested at 7 p.m.
 
Information about future Heat men's and women's soccer home games will be announced in the days ahead.
