KELOWNA, B.C. – The UBC Okanagan department of athletics and recreation is pleased to announce that men's golfer Andrew Rouble has been awarded the 2022-23 Acera Insurance Athletics Entrance Scholarship.
 
Rouble, a native of Wellesley, Ont., just completed his first season with the Heat men's golf team and is studying health and exercise science at the University. He will receive $4,500 per year over the four years thanks to the award.

A graduate of Waterloo Oxford District Secondary School, Rouble has consistently been the Heat's number two finisher at most events in his rookie season. He began the Fall season with a tie for 20^th at an NCAA Division 2 event, the Western Washington Invitational, followed by a tie for 14^th at his first Canada West Championship.
 
His best showing of the season came at the UBC West Coast Collegiate tournament where he finished at four-under par to finish in a tie for sixth.
 
He added a second Top 10 performance to his rookie resume in March at the Warrior Invitational in Nevada, tying for ninth.
 
The Acera Insurance Athletics Entrance Scholarship, formerly known as the CapriCMW Athletics Entrance Scholarship, was established in 2009 and has provided four years of financial support to 14 UBCO Heat student-athletes, totalling over $125,000 since its establishment.
