VANCOUVER, British Columbia — The UBCO Heat suffered a 4-1 decision to the No. 2 UBC Thunderbirds on Friday night at Ken Woods Field. The Heat were outshot 32-4 and finished with 10 saves while putting three of their four shots on goal.

Gavin La Montagne netted the team's lone goal and put two shots on target to lead the Heat attack. Meanwhile, goalkeeper
Ronan Woodroffe recorded a total of 10 saves over 90 minutes, making eight in the second half.
Leading the way for UBC was Henri Godbout, who scored twice on four shots, registering the game-winning goal. Lucas Dasovic and Declan Froh also found the back of the net, converting their lone attempts on goal.
UBC carried the first half in shots, outshooting the Heat 15-2 and earning seven corner kicks to UBCO's one. Woodroffe made two saves to help limit the damage, while La Montagne answered UBC's early opener with an equalizer in the 15th minute, sending the teams into halftime tied 1-1.
In the second half, the Thunderbirds continued to apply pressure, holding a 17-2 shot advantage, with 11 attempts on goal and earning nine corner kicks. Woodroffe made eight saves in the frame, but it was not enough as UBC delivered three more after halftime, ending the game 4-1.
