GOODYEAR, Ariz. – The UBC Okanagan Heat men's golf team faced tough NCAA Division II competition at the Hot Dirt Desert Shootout, completing a challenging 36-hole, single-day tournament at Estrella Golf Club to finish tied for 12th with a team total of 592 (+16).
Third-year
Andrew Rouble led the Heat with an impressive three-under-par 141 and recorded eight birdies to secure a tie for 14th, placing him in the top 15 of the competition. It marks the second consecutive tournament that he's finished as the Heat's top individual golfer.
Close behind,
Ryan Gillis carded a solid one-under-par 143, also adding eight birdies, to finish in a tie for 21st.
Colorado Christian won the tournament with a score of 541 (-35), placing six of their eight players under par and in the top 15.
