KELOWNA, B.C. - The Canada West conference officially announced the draw for the 2024 women's basketball championship tournament on Friday morning, which is set to be hosted by the UFV Cascades in Abbotsford, B.C. beginning Wednesday, February 21.
The UBC Okanagan Heat enter the tournament as the number nine seed after finishing the regular season with a program-best 11-9 record. They are set to take on the eight-seed Trinity Western Spartans (12-8) on Wednesday, February 21 in the opening round of the championship. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. at the UFV Athletic Centre.
The winner of Wednesday's match will advance to face the top-seeded Saskatchewan Huskies (19-1) in the quarter-finals on Thursday, February 22 at 8 p.m.
