Men's volleyball drops decision to Cascades in the final home game of the season

Heat fall to Cascades in three sets on Graduating Seniors Night

KELOWNA, B.C. - In the final home game of the season, the UBC Okanagan Heat men's volleyball team fell in a three-set battle to the UFV Cascades on Saturday night at the UBCO Gymnasium.

In his final home game in the blue and gold, veteran middle, Teo Ardanaz left it all out on the court tonight. He helped his team keep the scoring close by putting up a pair of block assists and a pair of digs.

Renn Petryk, a product of Edmonton, demonstrated his offensive gameplay tonight putting down a total of nine kills, one of which was a back-row attack in the second set to push the Heat lead by two.
Second-year outside hitter Lucas Woelders of Langley, B.C., also had one of his best games of the season, matching Petryk with nine kills.

Despite all efforts from the home team it just wasn't enough as the Cascades took the match in three sets as the two teams split their weekend series.
