Men's soccer drops decision to Vikes on home turf

A first half goal from Victoria was the different on Saturday as the Heat fell 1-0

KELOWNA, B.C. - In the second match of UBC Okanagan's home-opening weekend, the Heat would fall 1-0 to the Victoria Vikes in a tightly contested match Saturday evening at Nonis Sports Field.

Javier Sagaste, a fourth-year from Victoria, scored the game winner in the 21st minute, the only goal in the match.

The Vikes would outshoot the Heat 18-6 as they won their second straight game to open their season.

Heat Rookies Branden Park (Port Coquitlam, B.C.) and Rhys Gustafson (Kamloops, B.C.) both made their first start for the Heat.
