Heat unable to snap losing skid as they suffer 2-0 loss to Saskatchewan

SASKATOON, Sask. - The UBC Okanagan Heat men's soccer team was unable to snap their losing streak on Saturday as they fell 2-0 to the Saskatchewan Huskies.

Opening the match, the Heat and Huskies took turns holding possession and creating chances in the opposition's end until a 14th minute opportunity for Saskatchewan was finished off by Diego Reveco of Winnipeg, to give the hosts a 1-0 lead.

Coming into the second half, down by one, the Heat came out to play looking to win every battle on the pitch, resulting in a total of 31 fouls shared between the two teams.

The Heat's defensive line held a solid performance in structure during the second, denying any early opportunities for the Huskies, until an 87th minute rebound was slotted home by Rajesh Rodney of Saskatoon, Sask., to finalize the match at 2-0.
