CALGARY - The Calgary Dinos used a strong second half shooting performance to get past the UBC Okanagan Heat women's basketball team by a score of 80-64 on Saturday afternoon at the Jack Simpson Gymnasium.
After a close game on Friday night, Saturday was shaping up to be much of the same as Calgary led 32-26 after the opening half.
However, the Dinos went off in the second half and
it was the three-ball that was integral to their success, going 8-of-11 from beyond the arc in the second half. Pollyanna Storie, a second-year import from Edinburgh, Scotland, led her team in three-pointers made, going 4-of-5 from deep.
It was another strong night for Jaeli Ibbetson of Kelowna, B.C. who led all Heat scorers with 17 points, while Kelsey Falk, from Vernon, B.C. chipped in with 11 points and eight rebounds.

Jaeli Ibbetson - UBCO
The fourth-year forward was the Heat's primary scorer on Saturday, dropping a team-high 17 points. She added seven rebounds and two assists while shooting 47 percent from the field to continue her strong start to the year that sees her averaging 19.0 points per game.
Pollyanna Storie - Calgary
Coming off the bench for Calgary, Storie poured in 17 points off 63 percent shooting from the field and 80 percent from beyond the arc in 21 minutes.

The Dinos' season opening sweep see their record improve to 2-0, while the Heat fall to 0-2 to start the year.
