PERSONAL: In 2014, she and her Team Alberta teammates were National Team Challenge Cup champions, and she was recognized as an All-Star for the tournament. In both 2015 and then 2016, McCreary was named a Volleyball Alberta Provincial All-Star while with the Pandas volleyball club 18U squad. Also in 2016, Sara led her Pandas club team to the 18U Volleyball Alberta provincial championship and a national bronze medal. Sara was a member of the Canadian Youth National Team in the summer of 2015 between her junior and senior year in high school. Aside from volleyball, McCreary competes at a high level as an all-around athlete. In 2015, she earned second place in the ASAA Olympic Lifting Competition, and third place in the High School CrossFit Games.
UBC OKANAGAN 2016-17 (1ST YEAR)
- Was named the UBC Okanagan Female Rookie of the Year.
- Finished second on the team with 344 assists and 4.53 assists per set.
- She had 55 assists in the decisive third game of the quarterfinal series against the Calgary Dinos. This is the second-most assists in the Heat's history, regular season or post season, and most ever in a four-set match.
UBC OKANAGAN 2017-18 (2ND YEAR)
- Averaged 10.22 assists per set in the regular season which was the best mark in all of USPORTS.
- Was named the Canada West Female First Star of the Week near the end of October thanks to back-to-back fantastic performances against the UBC Thunderbirds. McCreary would have 87 assists in the two matches against the Heat’s sister school.
- Finished with 190 digs in Canada West play, the fifth most on the team.
- Season-high came against Regina on Nov.25, when she had 48 assists in the four set match.
- Named a UBC Okanagan Heat Scholar-Athlete and a U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian.
- Was a finalist for the UBC Okanagan Female Student Athlete of the year award.
- Was the player of the game in the USPORTS Consolation Semi-final thanks to 34 assists and five digs.
