Biography
PERSONAL: Aidan played her high school volleyball at Kelowna Secondary and she was also the team captain of the U17 team that won the provincial championship in 2014. Also on her resume was a bronze medal win at the national cup in 2014 with Team BC, she was also named a first-team all-star as a member of the U15 team that won the provincial championships. In high school Lea was very involved in student leadership and attended the Canadian Student Leadership Conference, Canada’s longest running national student leadership conference three times.
In the summer of 2017 she was named to the Senior Womens National Team, as well as Team Canada for the 2017 Summer Universiade in Taipei. Aidan's profile for the Team Canada: LINK
The summer of 2018 Aidan continued with the Canadian Sr. National Team, once again spending her summer training and playing with and against the top players in the world.
UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO 2015-16 (1ST YEAR)
- Lea debuted for the Buffs in the season opener against San Diego (8/28/15).
- She was valuable for the Buffs, recording six kills on 14 errorless attacks while hitting .429, as the Buffs upset the then 14th-ranked Florida State Seminoles.
- In the next match that same day against Oklahoma, Lea again hit well for the Buffs, tallying six kills on 12 error-free swings (.500).
UBC OKANAGAN 2016-17 (2ND YEAR)
- Led Canada West in hitting percentage (.350) This is the highest hitting percentage in the Heat's history, and the 15th-best percentage in Canada West history.
- She had back-to-back tremendous performances against Calgary in the second and third games of the Canada West Quarter Final series. Had a career-high 19 kills in game 2 to help force a game 3, and once again played exceptionally well as she finished with 16 kills on .393 hitting to help the team advance to the Final Four.
- Finalist for the UBC Okanagan Female Athlete of the Year.
- Finished the year with 183 kills and 74 total blocks.
- Played in every match this season.
UBC OKANAGAN 2017-18 (3RD YEAR)
- Recorderd a career-high 226 kills in the regular season thanks to a .336 hitting percentage. This number was good enough to put her second in Canada West along with seventh in the entire country.
- Season-high came on Nov.10th against MacEwan where she had 17 kills on 28 attempts.
- Named a finalist for the UBC Okanagan Female Athlete of the Year
- First team Canada West All-Star
- Named second team U SPORTS All-Canadian - only the third All-Canadian in school history.
UBC OKANAGAN 2018-19 (4TH YEAR)
- Finished with 226 kills in her senior season on a .264 hitting percentage.
- Set new career-highs in points (314), total blocks (93) and service aces (31).
- Tied her career-high in terms of kills in a match with 19 against TRU in the final weekend of conference play.
