Biography

PERSONAL: Max played five years with the Force club program before coming to the Heat, earning four consecutive provincial championships and well as four consecutive national championships. He also had success with his school teams, earning First Team All-Star honours as his junior team took home a provincial title. In 2014, Heppell was a member of a Fraser Valley team that earned the gold medal in the BC Summer Games in Nanaimo.

UBC OKANAGAN 2017-18 (1ST YEAR)

  • Had 77 kills in his freshman campgain with the Heat which ranked second among rookies on the squad.
  • Also totalled 64 digs and 16 total blocks.
  • Had nine kills in a match on two separate occasions which was his season and career-high.

UBC OKANAGAN 2018-19 (2ND YEAR)

  • Set a new career-high with 203 kills for the Heat in conference play along with 103 digs and 23 total blocks.
  • Had his best performance of his young career on the road against the Winnipeg Wesmen where he racked up a career-high 21 kills in a five-set loss.
  • Was a finalist for UBC Okanagan Male Athlete of the Year.
