Biography

PERSONAL: Kristof helped Team BC to a Bronze medal at the 2013 Canada Summer Games August 11-14 ... He is currently enrolled in the Engineering program ... he was ranked 11th in the Province's Best of BC for the Senior Boys Super 15 Class of 2012 and spent Summer 2012 playing for Team BC (U19) with current Heat teammates Jim Bell and Alex Swiatlowski ... Kristof earned bronze medals at both the Indoor and Beach Volleyball National Championships in 2011, the Provincial MVP award at the Indoor championships from 2008-2010, and was the Team BC Captain in 2010 ... Kristof served as the president of Yale Secondary's Grad Council and remained on the Principal's Honour Roll throughout his time at Yale Secondary, graduating as valedictorian as he maintained an academic average of 95% ... Kristof's sister Rosie plays for the UBC Thunderbirds at the Vancouver campus.

UBC OKANAGAN 2012-13: Kristof played in all 22 Canada West matches ... He tallied 19 killls on 61 total attempts ... He lead the Heat season with 576 assists ... placing 13th in the CIS and second most in Heat history ... He had 4 matches with 40 or more assists ... Highlighted by his 49 assist performance vs Trinity Western (Dec. 2) ... He also tallied 98 digs ... and finished with 39 total blocks ... He was chosen as the Heat Rookie of the Year for Men's Volleyball ... Was one of three Heat players on Team BC's Canada Summer Games Indoor squad held in June, winning Bronze.

UBC OKANAGAN 2013-14: Played in twenty Canada West matches and started all of them ... Recorded 9.42 assists per set and seven service aces on the season ... Eclipsed the team's single-season total assists record previously held by former Heat star Preston Tucker (705) with his fifth assists on February 1st at Winnipeg. Kristof would wind up with 34 for the night and 735 for the season ... Recipient of the team's Rob Sivicoe award and the Heat Scholar award.
