PERSONAL: Jim is currently enrolled in the engineering program ... he was ranked third on the Province's Best of BC for the Senior Boys Super 15 Class of 2012, and was selected to play with the Canadian Junior National team for Summer 2012 after he spent Summer 2012 playing for Team BC (U19) with current Heat teammates Kristof Schlagintweit and Alex Swiatlowski ... Jim earned a AAA Silver Medal and an all-star selection at the 2010 BC High School Provincial championships ... in 2011 he earned a gold medal and an all-star selection with the Team BC U17 Western Elites, and earned bronze medals at the Western Canada Summer Games (U18 Team BC) and the U17 Nationals ... Jim maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout his high school career.
UBC OKANAGAN 2012-13: Jim played in 12 of 22 matches in his rookie season ... He recorded 48 kills on 115 total attack attempts ... Had 33 total blocks in his abbreviated season due to injury ...Recipient of the 2012 Capri Insurance Scholarship ... Was one of three Heat players on Team BC's Canada Summer Games Indoor squad held in June.
