PERSONAL: Austin is a locally grown product, having gone through the Okanagan Whitecaps Academy ... He captained his Super Y team for 2 years, leading the team in assists ... He became the youngest player for the PCSL Men's Reserve team at 16 ... U of CONCORDIA 2010-2011: Austin played his freshman season at Concordia University in Portland (see story here).
UBC OKANAGAN 2011-2013: Austin played all 11 regular season games, scoring 2 goals ... He played in all three PACWEST Provincial Championship games, earning a provincial bronze medal (UBC Okanagan's first since 1981).
UBC OKANAGAN 2012-2013: Austin played all 14 regular season games ... He posted 6 goals, including a hat trick in a 3-2 win vs Quest on October 14th, 2012 ... he was named a PACWEST Provincial All-Star.....Was a recipient of a PACWEST Academic Excellence award....A CCAA Academic All-Canadian....a nominee for UBC Okanagan Male Athlete of the Year....
UBC OKANAGAN 2013-2014: Scored 5 goals in 2013, second most on the team....His 5 goals came in 5 consecutive games, all on the road (Sep 15-28)....Was a nominee for UBC Okanagan Male Athlete of the Year....was a PACWEST provincial all-star....
UBC OKANAGAN 2014-2015: Scored his first Canada West goal on Sep 7 versus UNBC.
