Biography

PERSONAL: She competed for the Canada Selects Team in 2011 in Florida. Michelle was a North Shore, Provincial High School and Provincial Club First team All-Star from 2010-12. She was also the 2012 Ogopogo High School tournament MVP (held at UBC’s Okanagan campus each fall) and was named to the All-Star team of the UBC High School tournament in Vancouver. She was also selected to Team BC in 2010.

CAREER: Jaskzuk acomplished a rare feat in her career with the Heat, as she finished her Canada West regular season career with over 500 kills (584) as well as over 500 digs (502). Jakszuk has played in 15 postseason matches and counting for the Heat including three matches at the 2015-16 National Championship. In total, Jaskzuk has played in 106 of a possible 118 Canada West conference matches during her five year run with the team. Her 200 total blocks puts her in fourth place all time in Heat history behind Katy Klomps, Katie Wuttunee and teammate Erin Drew

  • Had a career-high 118 kills on the year

UBC OKANAGAN 2017-18 (5TH YEAR)

  • Would lead the team in kills with 246, which set a new career-high in a season.
  • The outside hitter would close the season strong, as she had a career-high 20 kills against Manitoba during the final weekend of the regular season.

  • Also set a new career-high for digs in a season with 228, which was the second best mark on the Heat team.
  • Co-winner of the UBC Okanagan Female Graduating Player of the Year award
  • Finalist for the UBC Okanagan Female Athlete of the Year
  • Was named the player of the game in the USPORTS National quarter-final thanks to 16 kills
