Biography
PERSONAL: A former member of the provincial team, Jordan played most of her club basketball with the Junior Heat team beginning in her grade nine year. The positive experience of the Junior Heat program, familiarity with some of her future teammates and knowing that the coaches will push her to the best of her ability made the choice to stay home and play in the Okanagan an easy one. Jordan won numerous game MVP’s and tournament All-Stars and for all three years of senior basketball was a North Okanagan All-star, the last two years as an Okanagan Valley All-Star. With her U15 BC team she finished with a bronze at the national championships and this past year she was awarded the prestigious Tessa Beauchamp Scholarship. University basketball runs in the family as her dad Kevin played for the UBC men's basketball team in 1987-88.
UBC OKANAGAN 2015-16 (1ST YEAR)
- Started in 12 of the 20 conference games for the team
- Was a finalist for UBC Okanagan Female Rookie of the Year
- U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian
- Averaged 4.9 rebounds a game to lead the team
- Lead all-rookies on the team averaging 4.0 points a game
UBC OKANAGAN 2016-17 (2ND YEAR)
- Led the team in rebounds for the second consecutive year averaging 6.9 boards per contest
- Started 19 of 20 Canada West contests
- Had a season-high 13 points against Thompson Rivers
UBC OKANAGAN 2017-18 (3RD YEAR)
- Averaged a career-best 6.5 points per contest in Canada West play to lead the team
- Also led the team averaging 6.1 rebounds per contest
- Was named an Academic All-Canadian for the second time in her career
UBC OKANAGAN 2018-19 (4TH YEAR)
- Became the first player in women's program history to average a double-double for an entire season as she finished the year averaging 13 points and 10.2 rebounds a contest.
- Honoured as the Sylvia Sweeney Award recipient by the Canada West for her outstanding athletic achievement along with academic success and community service. This is the first time any Heat athlete has won a major Canada West award.
- She was named the UBC Okanagan Female Outstanding Athlete of the Year.
- For the third consecutive season was an Academic All-Canadian
- Was named the Canada West Women's Third Star of the Week in the middle of November following back-to-back monster games against Mount Royal.
- The forward had 50 points and 33 boards in the two games that weekend
- This included 26 points the opening night against the Cougars which set a new career-high for the forward.
UBC OKANAGAN 2019-20 (5TH YEAR)
- Was named the UBC Okanagan Female Graduating Player of the Year, along with being a finalist for Outstanding Athlete of the Year.
- She averaged 12.3 points a game to go along with 9.3 rebounds.
- Was named the Canada West 3rd start of the week in her final homes games, including a 23-rebound performance.
