PERSONAL: Alex was a highly sought-after recruit out of Victoria's Oak Bay High School in 2012 where he won a provincial championship in grade 11. Majoring in medical biochemistry Alex will look to play professionally next year and eventually move on to continue his academic pursuits in the field of pharmacy.

UBC OKANAGAN 2012-13 (1ST YEAR)

• Finished his rookie year with 26 kills and 17 digs 

UBC OKANAGAN 2013-14 (2ND YEAR)

• Ranked 5th on the team with 101 kills and 118 points

UBC OKANAGAN 2014-15 (3RD YEAR)

• Finished 3rd on the team with 155 kills along with 122 digs and 188 total points
• Season-high came in a thrilling 5 set home win over MacEwan in which he finished with 15 kills 
• Played in all 24 matches including 22 starts

UBC OKANAGAN 2015-16 (4TH YEAR)

• Was leading the Heat offense before missing final six matches. Set a career high with 23 kills in match in Kelowna versus UBC. 2nd on team in points (222), kills (181), kills/set (2.54), pts/set (3.1), 3rd on team in blocks (28).
• Chosen team leader for monitoring and organizing team travel dress and meal planning. 
• Finalist for the UBC Okanagan Outstanding Athlete of the Year
• Alex was one of two Master of Ceremonies for the annual Heat Athletic Banquet

UBC OKANAGAN 2016-17 (5TH YEAR)

• Was named the UBC Okanagan Graduating Player of the Year
• Ranked second on the team with 178 kills, 63 total blocks and a .322 hitting percentage.
• The .322 hitting percentage was the second-highest in the Canada West (conference minimum 300 attacks).
• Finished with a season-high 19 kills in a 5-set thriller against UBC in Vancouver.
• Alex started at three separate positions to help the team and his contributions were immense.
• Named a finalist for the UBC Okanagan Outstanding Athlete of the Year for a second consecutive year
