In the second quarter, UBCO matched Victoria's 15-15 scoring output. The Heat capitalized on free throws, converting five of seven attempts, and maintained pressure with 10 total rebounds, including seven offensive boards, which facilitated second-chance opportunities. Victoria's defence forced four turnovers and led by as much as 20 points, but UBCO's late surge, including a 3-pointer from Saige Parfitt with 30 seconds left in the half, narrowed the gap. The quarter ended with Victoria holding a 33-22 lead.

UBCO struggled with shooting efficiency, making only five of 17 field goal attempts, though Coon's two 3-pointers and Pink's three assists provided some offensive highlights. In the final quarter, Victoria maintained control with a 15-9 scoring advantage, capitalizing on defensive play including three blocks and five steals. Despite a strong rebounding effort from UBCO with 11 total boards, the Heat could not overcome the deficit, closing the game with a 67-47 loss.
