VICTORIA, B.C - The UBC Okanagan Heat men's soccer team dropped their third-straight game on Friday evening as they fell 2-0 to the Victoria Vikes.
It was a hotly-contested contest in the opening 45 minutes with neither team able to find the breakthrough despite generating multiple scoring opportunities. Heat keeper

once again held a wall for the Heat, stopping both shots from the Vikes as the team's entered the break tied 0-0
Entering the second half with an even score, the Vikes found two back-to-back corner kicks, resulting in a 60th minute goal to take the lead.
Following the goal, a red card was handed to Giuliano Montagliani of Burnaby, B.C., which put the Heat in a disadvantage. Capitalizing on the Heat being down to 10 men, the Vikes went on to score another goal, ultimately sealing their victory with a final score of 2-0.

Ian Klumpen- UBCO
The first-year defender from Austin, Texas showcased his defensive prowess throughout the contest, taking advantage of the wet field to make multiple goal-saving tackle to keep the Heat in the match.
Javier Sagaste - Victoria
The fourth year forward from Victoria, B.C., secured the winning goal for the Vikes as well as triggering multiple opportunities for the Vikes' attackers.
WHERE THEY SIT
The loss comes as a blow to the Heat's (3-8-0) playoff hopes as they fall three games behind the Thompson Rivers WolfPack (6-6-1), who upset the UBC Thunderbirds (10-1-2) on Friday, for the fourth and final playoff spot in the division.
As for Victoria, they sit comfortably in second place in the division with an 8-3-2 record.
