Game Recap: Women's Basketball | | Nicholas Taylor

Ibbetson, Falk pace women's basketball to split with Spartans

LANGLEY, B.C.- Jaeli Ibbetson did it all for the UBC Okanagan Heat women's basketball team on Saturday as she stuffed the stat sheet, recording a team-high 22 points, eight rebounds, six assists and three steals to lead the Heat to a 77-69 victory over the Trinity Western Spartans.

Ibbetson got off to a hot start hitting her first four shots from the field. As the Spartans defence starting focusing their attention on her, she was able to get easy looks for her teammates which paid off as UBCO shot 42.6 percent for the contest.

Kelsey Falk (Vernon, B.C.) was efficient from the field all night as she scored 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the field. She helped grab seven boards and played very good defence all night.
Trinity Western struggled to get any rhythm going but a lone bright spot was Nicole Fransson of Edmonton. She finished one rebound shy of a double-double, recording 19 points and nine rebounds.
