UBC Okanagan Takes the Win Over University of Calgary

UBC Okanagan defeated University of Calgary 6-2 on Sunday. UBC Okanagan fired up the offense in the first inning, when Cassidy Kellow tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Anna Rudetsky got the win for UBC Okanagan. The bulldog went four innings, allowing one run on five hits and striking out three. Nevada Johnson threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Johnson recorded the last six outs to earn the save for UBC OkanaganEmma Stephens took the loss for University of Calgary. The hurler allowed nine hits and six runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out four. UBC Okanagan had nine hits in the game. Kasey WrightRudetsky, and Chelsea Mosher all collected multiple hits for UBC OkanaganWright led UBC Okanagan with three hits in four at bats. UBC Okanagan was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Katelyn Harman made the most plays with six. Racquel Bennett went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead University of Calgary in hits.
