Tight Game Between UBC Okanagan and University of Victoria Ends in a Tie

A single in the sixth inning helped UBC Okanagan battle to a 7-7 tie with University of Victoria on Friday. In the first inning, UBC Okanagan got their offense started. An error scored one run for UBC Okanagan. UBC Okanagan evened things up at seven in the bottom of the sixth inning when Gabriela Isaak singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.After University of Victoria scored one run in the top of the fifth, UBC Okanagan answered with one of their own. University of Victoria scored when Sydney Wood doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. UBC Okanagan then answered when Danielle Boudreau induced Sheyanne Lawrence to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. UBC Okanagan socked two home runs on the day. Lauryn Dirks went deep in the third inning. Nevada Johnson went for the long ball in the second inning. UBC Okanagan collected nine hits on the day. Isaak and Cassidy Kellow all managed multiple hits for UBC OkanaganKellow and Isaak all had two hits to lead UBC OkanaganUniversity of Victoria racked up ten hits. Macey Thoroughgood and Alex Buckman each had multiple hits for University of VictoriaThoroughgood went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead University of Victoria in hits.
