Julia Alexander-Carew continued to add to her storied legacy with the Heat, capturing the 10th collegiate tournament title of her career at the Western Washington Invitational in Bellingham, Wash., last Tuesday. The fourth-year golfer claimed the individual championship with a two-round score of two-under-par 142. After shooting three-over-par 75 on the first day, Alexander-Carew bounced back with a sensational bogey-free five-under-par 67 final round, which featured five birdies, including three on the back nine. The Oakville, Ont., product’s impressive second-round performance helped propel the Heat from their fifth-place position on Day 1 to a runner-up finish in the tournament. This marks the second time this season Alexander-Carew has been named a UBCO Athlete of the Week.
