Heat guard Kiana Kaczur had an excellent weekend of playoff action for UBCO as they matched their deepest Canada West playoff run in team history following a win over Brandon before losing out to the fourth-ranked team in Canada, the Regina Cougars, in the quarter-finals.

On Friday against the Bobcats, Kaczur was one of four Heat players to hit double-figures, scoring 11 points off the bench as she shot 42.9 percent from the floor and hit two of her three three-point attempts. Kaczur would also add two steals and two rebounds in the Heat’s 86-70 victory.

She followed that up with a team-high 12 points off the bench on Saturday, shooting 66.7 percent from the floor and three-point range, while adding two rebounds, two assists and a steal.

This marks the first time this season, and first time in her Heat career, that Kaczur has been named an Athlete of the Week.
