Tennyson McCarthy had the best weekend of her Heat career against the WolfPack in helping UBCO win the women's Presidents' Cup.

Entering the weekend tied with TRU but trailing by 20 points in the total points tiebreak, McCarthy powered the Heat to an incredible 44-point victory on Friday, posting a season-best 16 rebounds and a career-best 16 rebounds, to go with 3 blocked shots. That flipped the tiebreak in the Heat's favour, and ultimately allowed them to win the Cup on Saturday night.

The third-year forward followed up Friday's dominant performance with her second-straight double-double on Saturday, and just the third of her career, as she finished the weekend averaging 13.5 points, 13.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks, all well above her season averages.
This marks the first time this season, and first time in her career, that McCarthy has been named an Athlete of the Week.
