In his UBCO Heat debut, Vest was lights out for the Heat over three rounds at the Bishop Invitational to finish solo 2nd in the individual standings and lead the team to a T3rd finish in the team standings. The transfer from Western Washington was under par in each of his three rounds, highlighted by a sparkling second round of 5-under par 67 in which he fired six birdies and a bogey. For the week, he had 15 total birdies and finished just one shot behind the winner Ben Crinella from Hawaii Hilo. His play earned him a spot on the All-Tournament Team at the NCAA Division II event.
 
This marks the first time this season, and first time in his career, that Vest has been named an Athlete of the Week.
