2018 Women's Cross Country
Biography
PERSONAL: Fagan, a graduate of Mount Boucherie Secondary school, was named the BC Athletics Junior Women Cross Country Athlete of the Year in 2016.
UBC OKANAGAN 2015-16 (1ST YEAR)
- Finished 19th overall at the CCAA National Championship in Brockville, Ontario which helped the Heat to a national silver medal.
- Was a finalist for UBC Okanagan Female Rookie of the Year
UBC OKANAGAN 2016-17 (2ND YEAR)
- She would win the first ACAC Grand Prix race individually, with a time of 20:47 for 5km.
- Later this season she would finish in fourth spot at the CCAA National Championship, helping her team to a national team championship.
- Was named a CCAA All-Canadian along with the UBC Okanagan Female Outstanding Athlete of the Year.
UBC OKANAGAN 2017-18 (3RD YEAR)
- National champion. Captured the CCAA National individual title in Blainville, QC with a time of 21:42 for the 6km long course.
- Helped her team capture a bronze medal, which marked the third straight year she won a medal in the team competition.
- Named a CCAA All-Canadain, was twice named the CCAA Athlete of the week.
- For the second straight year was the UBC Okanagan Heat Most Outstanding Athlete of the Year.
- A CCAA National Scholar Athlete for 2017-18.
UBC OKANAGAN 2018-19 (4TH YEAR)
- Competing for the first time at the U SPORTS level.
- Finished first at the UBCO Invitational, leading her team to its first U SPORTS win.
- At the Vikes Invitational (Oct. 13) competitng against six Canada West schools Veronika finished 4th overall, the team finished 4th as well.
- Was the second university racer to cross the line at the 2018 BC Cross Country Championships (Oct. 27). The team finished third.
- Named a Canada West First Team All-Star following her performance at the U SPORTS National Championship.
- Finished 18th out of 155 runners at the National Championship in Kingston, Ontario.
