PERSONAL:

UBC OKANAGAN 2015-16 (1ST YEAR)

  • Recipient of the CCAA National Scholar Award along with the Heat Scholar-Athlete award

UBC OKANAGAN 2016-17 (2ND YEAR)

  • For the second consecutive year, Mitchel was named a CCAA National Scholar.
  • Captured the Larry Nicholas event in Kelowna with a time of 30:35 for the 9km course.

UBC OKANAGAN 2017-18 (3RD YEAR)

  • Named the CCAA Athlete of the Week for the first week in November. 
  • Won the individual title at the TRU WolfPack XC Invitational.
  • Finished 13th at the CCAA National Championship out of 134 racers.
  • Finalist for the UBC Okanaga Male Provost Award for Excellence (one semester).

UBC OKANAGAN 2018-19 (4TH YEAR)

  • Captured the individual title at the UBCO Invitational thanks to a winning time of 29:28 for the 8km course 
  • Was the highest Heat runner at the Vikes Invitational in Victoria 
  • Finished 14th at the BC Cross Country Championship following a time of 23:45 for the 8km course
  • At the U SPORTS national championships Mike finished 85th out of 158 runners with a time of 33:34.4 over the 10k course in Kingston, ON.
