KELOWNA, B.C. – The upcoming home opener between the UBCO Heat men's rugby team and the MRU Cougars on Saturday has been cancelled.

The matchup was originally scheduled for 11 a.m. at Parkinson Recreation Park East Field.

UBCO is coming off a close game against the Calgary Dinos last weekend, falling 24-19.

The Heat's next action is set for Saturday, Oct. 3 in Calgary, where they will take on the Alberta Golden Bears at noon Pacific time.

Fans will get their lone opportunity to see the men's rugby team at home when the SAIT Trojans visit Kelowna on Saturday, Oct. 17 for an 11 a.m. kickoff.
