The UBCO Heat invite students, alumni and the entire community to join us on Friday, September 18 for the Heat Homecoming Tailgate and Volleyball Showcase as part of the 9th annual Homecoming celebrations at UBC Okanagan.

Doors open for the tailgate at 4:30pm, with food being handed out starting at 5:00pm and volleyball action getting underway at 5:45pm.

Start Homecoming weekend with an evening of Heat pride, family fun, and varsity athletics. The festivities begin with a pre-game tailgate featuring a special Homecoming giveaway, plus pizza, chips, and drinks for the first 500 people.

Families, alumni, students, and community members can enjoy a festival atmosphere with a beer garden and lawn games. Then head inside to watch a men's volleyball showcase match, followed by a women's volleyball exhibition match, with interactive contests and entertainment throughout. Meet Heat athletes and representatives while learning about UBCO's varsity programs.

Heat and Lakers alumni, plus athletics supporters, are also invited to the alumNights: Off-the-Court Reception as part of the Homecoming Tailgate and Volleyball Showcase. 

Reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate at this exclusive Homecoming experience for Heat alumni, their guests, and dedicated UBCO Athletics supporters. Hosted in the gym mezzanine overlooking the men's and women's volleyball matches, this VIP gathering offers premium viewing and entertainment. Mingle with fellow alumni, former teammates, coaches, and athletics supporters over catered food, bar service, alumni-only activities, and exclusive Heat and alumni giveaways. Join us for an elevated game-night experience as we celebrate Heat Athletics at the heart of the action.

Students are encouraged to join the Student Trek beginning at 4:45pm on Commons Field before proceeding to the UBCO Gymnasium at 5:15pm.
