Fresh off a four-point performance last week, the Heat will be out to avenge a surprising loss to UNBC earlier this season when the two teams square off at Nonis Sports Field on Friday night. On Saturday night, the Heat will once again go toe-to-toe with the top-ranked team in the country, the Thunderbirds, for the second and final time of the regular season. The Heat gave the Thunderbirds their toughest challenge of the season two weeks ago, a competitive 3-2 win for UBC in Vancouver.

Last weekend fourth-year forward Abigail Taneda scored three minutes into stoppage time on Friday night to lift her team to a 2-1 victory over the Mount Royal Cougars on Homecoming.

Before Saturday's matchup, the Heat will recognize their three graduating seniors, Holly Tarves, Alyssa Scott and Sophie Campbell.

Cheyenne Simicak of Surrey, B.C., continued her monster season with another big weekend at the plate for the Heat last weekend in Lethbridge. The third-year infielder hit .500 over the five games, going 8-for-16 at the plate while hitting two home runs and posting 11 RBI. She also added two doubles to raise her season average to .429. She now has 18 RBI on the season, a new career-best.
