Willa Bonsall was a key contributor for the softball team as they finished their weekend trip to Calgary, Alta., with a 3-1 record. Over the four games, the first-year outfielder set the tone as the leadoff hitter, finishing with a .308. batting average, five RBIs, and two runs scored. In the first matchup against the SAIT Trojans, Bonsall hit a leadoff homerun in the bottom of the first as the Heat won 12-2. Her other highlights included a triple against the Calgary Dinos in UBCO’s other contest on Saturday.
