Gardner had the best weekend of her Heat career as UBCO split a pair of games on the road with Brandon. The fourth-year middle had a balanced performance in the team's opener, racking up 10.5 points off five kills, two aces and six blocks. She then put together the best game of her career, setting career-highs for kills in a match with 13 and aces in a match with eight, adding three blocks for 22.5 points in a five-set win. The eight aces set a new UBCO record for aces in a single match, eclipsing the previous mark of seven held by Amaya Perry, the second-best server in Canada West history. It also tied her for eighth all-time in conference history for most aces in a single match.
