Manuel continued his outstanding start to the season with another big weekend, this time against the No. 2 ranked team in the country, the Alberta Golden Bears. On Friday night, Manuel fired 17 kills to just two errors, posting the second-best hitting percentage of his career at .556 percent, and finished with 19.5 points to lead UBCO to their first-ever win over Alberta in 23 all-time meetings. On Saturday, he would add 14 more kills, two aces and six digs as the Heat lost in four sets. Thanks to his big weekend, he now ranks in the Top 5 in Canada West for both total kills (63) and kills per set (3.71), one of only two athletes in the conference to accomplish the feat.

This marks the second time this season, and third time in his career, that Manuel has been named the Athlete of the Week.
