Hourihane was lights out on the mound this weekend for UBCO as she pitched two complete games as the Heat swept their five-game weekend set in Victoria. The third-year pitcher, in her first season with the Heat after transferring from Douglas College, went seven innings on Saturday, allowing just two earned runs while striking out four as the Heat defeated Mount Royal 6-4. She followed that up by allowing just one run over seven innings while striking out five later in the day against Victoria as the Heat defeated the Vikes 9-2. She would add one hit in five plate appearances while driving in one run.
 
This marks the first time this season, and the first time in her career, that Hourihane has been named a UBCO Athlete of the Week.
