Men’s Volleyball Seba Manuel takes home Athlete of the Week honours powered by Meal Prep for You, for the week ending on January 12th.

Manuel was a force for the Heat this weekend in their showdown at home against the No. 7-ranked UBC Thunderbirds. He opened the weekend on Friday with 10 kills, while hitting .207 percent, along with seven digs and an ace for 11 points. He followed that up with another 10-kill performance on Saturday, while setting a new career-high for digs in a match with 10, to go along with an ace and a block for 11.5 points. Impressively, Manuel had no reception errors over eight sets of play against the Thunderbirds. His 20 kills now gives him 122 on the season, good for 12th-best in Canada West.

This is the first time this season and in his career that Manuel has been named Athlete of the Week.
