Women's Volleyball Natalie Funk takes home Athlete of the Week honours powered by Meal Prep for You, for the week ending on December 1st.


Funk was one of the women’s volleyball’s top performers this weekend as they wrapped up 2024 with a split on the road in Calgary. On Friday night, Funk had eight kills and just one error as she hit .438 percent while adding 4 blocks and 3 service aces, including the winning ace on match point, as the Heat swept the Dinos in three sets. She followed that up with 5 kills, 1 ace and 1 block in Saturday’s setback to Calgary. Thanks to her 5 blocks this weekend, the fourth-year middle is averaging 1.06 blocks per set this season, fourth-best in Canada West.


This is the first time this season and third in her career that Funk has been named Athlete of the Week.
