Women’s Volleyball Madison Gardner takes home Athlete of the Week honours powered by Meal Prep for You, for the week ending on November 17th.

Gardner had her best performance of the young season this past weekend as she was a force in the middle against the U SPORTS No. 7-ranked Trinity Western Spartans. The health and exercise sciences major produced 9 kills on just 14 attacks, with only 1 error, over the weekend doubleheader, while leading a strong Heat block, registering 3 solo blocks and 10 blocks assists in 7 sets. Her best performance of the weekend came in Saturday's straight sets win over the Spartans, UBCO's first victory over Trinity Western since 2017. Gardner had 5 kills and 8 total blocks (2 solo, 6 assisted), outdueling the Spartans All-Canadian middle, as the Heat won in convincing fashion.

This is the first time this season and second in her career that Gardner has been named Athlete of the Week.
