Women’s soccer Sophie Campbell takes home Athlete of the Week honours powered by Meal Prep for You, for the week ending in October 20th.

Campbell was very strong on the Heat backline this past weekend as they earned a pair of draws on the road to officially qualify for the Canada West playoffs. On Friday, the fourth-year centre-back helped anchor a strong defensive effort by the Heat in the pouring rain in Victoria as they drew the Vikes 0-0. Then on Sunday in Calgary, Campbell scored her first goal of the season, heading home a corner kick as UBCO tied Mount Royal 1-1. The goal was the third of her career in a Heat uniform and second point this season.

This is the second time this season and in her career that Campbell has been named Athlete of the Week.
