RECAP: Heat take first set but fall in four to Cougars

CALGARY - Hellen Lacava would record four of her 11 team-high kills in the first set as the Heat overcame at (13-5) deficit, going on a (20-8) run to close out the frame. 

Despite the first set win, the Heat were unable to keep their momentum as the dropped the next three sets and fell (3-1).

The next three sets were won by the Cougars as the continued to get out to early leads in sets and hold on for large margin wins.

The No. 6 ranked Cougars stay undefeated on the season at (8-0), while UBCO's loss drops the Heat (4-4).

Behind Lacava's 11, team leader in kills Jade Bussard with eight of her own.

For Mount Royal, Chantel Park held strong with 15 kills to lead her team, followed by Carly Davies with nine. 

The Heat head home and will take on the (5-1) Saskatchewan Huskies at 6 PM PST on Nov. 15.

The Cougars will play next against the (0-6) Brandon University Bobcats on Nov. 15.
