Heat volleyball at the annual Parkinson's SuperWalk

KELOWNA, BC – Once again just a few days into the new school year and the Heat men's and women's volleyball teams mixed into their training sessions some community outreach as they once again volunteered and lent a hand for a great cause.

The Heat student athletes were among the hundreds of people that took part in the annual Parkinson SuperWalk at the Waterfront Park on Saturday, the ninth annual event raising funds to find a cure for Parkinson disease in Kelowna.

The SuperWalk is the single most important provincial and national awareness and fundraising event for Parkinson Society British Columbia as numerous communities across the country organize walks on the weekends of September 8, 9, 15 & 22 to raise funds for critical programs, support services, advocacy efforts and contributions to research.
