A quick look at Heat women's volleyball rookie Sydney Grills

Training camp has just wrapped up for the UBC Okanagan women's volleyball team, in fact all four Heat indoor teams have spent the last week before school begins on the court in their home gym preparing for the upcoming Canada West season.

The earl week allows the UBCO coaches a chance to look at their group together for the first time; it also allows the training staff a chance to evaluate the incoming and returning players in preparation for the 8-month long grind.

Sydney Grills, a first year player signed to the women's volleyball team, came a week early and to be one of the instructors at the senior high school volleyball camp run by the Heat coaches and a few current players and alumni.

Sam Charles, the long-time voice of the Heat on Canadawest.tv, caught up with Sydney to find out more about the incoming outside hitter after her summer winning the national club championships and her selection to the Junior National team.
