First win of the year:

  • The team shot 50% from beyond the arc in the final frame as their comeback was secured with a season-high 12 treys in the game.

No longer a rookie:

  • After last season saw Hafith Moallin drop a rookie-leading 12.0 points per game as he earned Canada West All-Rookie status, he continues to turn heads, pumping out UBCO's second-ever triple-double in their win against TRU.
  • He was able to put down 16 points, 11 boards, and 11 apples as he led his team to victory.
  • UBCO's last player to record 11 assists in a game was Aldrich Berrios, who dropped the Heat's first-ever triple-double against UFV on Dec. 1 last season.
  • Moallin was rewarded by the conference for his game with a conference star of the week

Head to head with UFV: (3-15)

  • The Heat hosted UFV last season but the visiting Cascades would top UBCO in both games, first (92-62), then (80-60) despite Berrios' historic game.
